About

Hey, I’m Christin –

Mom, wife, knitter, avid DIY-er, business owner, foodie and beer nerd.

I learned to knit in 2005 in search of a way to relax amidst getting my Masters degree and working full time. My first large project was a baby blanket commissioned by an old college friend. Her baby boy held onto and loved that blanket for the first 3 years of his life, when she put it in a keepsake box for him to have when he’s older. Something that I made with my two hands is a family heirloom – it makes my heart full.

Making things that are wearable, functional, comfortable, and beautiful are my goals. I make a lot of hats – they’re fun, a quick knit, and easily customized. I also like making shawls, headbands, and bags. I love baby knits. I love recycled yarn, soft yarn, a good texture, variegated yarn combined with a neutral, or a pop of color. Ultimately, I love making something that someone’s going to use and love for years.

Let me know where you’d like to see me around town! I’ve done Pop-Up shops at Railroad Coffee in Ruston, the Farmer’s Market at MAD, and various seasonal and holiday festivals.
